JOSEPH LUKAWSKI
Date of Passing: Nov 23, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH LUKAWSKI With love and sadness we announce the passing of our treasured father and grandfather, Joe Lukawski on November 23, 2007 at the age of 84. Joe was predeceased by his loving wife Wanda, on May 2006, his parents and his brothers and sister. He leaves to mourn his passing; his daughters Elizabeth and Yvonne (Allan), his beloved granddaughter Annaka; numerous nieces, nephews in Poland and friends throughout Winnipeg, Kelowna and Lumsden. Joe experienced many hardships and triumphs in his life. Those, who had the pleasure of meeting our father were befriended and became like family. He met many through his business Mid-West Armature Co. and because of his strong work ethic and honesty he received the Canadian Automotive Trade Association award for excellence in the Automotive Industry for 1960 to 1970 for Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our father and grandfather has left us with many wonderful memories and above all we will treasure his wisdom, his kindness, and his taking time to laugh. We'll miss him terribly. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and Dr. Moncek at Unit 1 and 3 on the fifth floor at Seven Oaks Hospital and also to Dr. Wong at CancerCare at St. Boniface Hospital. They will always be remembered for their kindness and compassion. A special thanks to the many friends who shared their presence, their laughter and offered prayers over Dad. This truly brightened up his day. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation, for a Hospice Room, 2300 McPhillips Street, Winnipeg, MB R2V 3M3 (Phone number: 632-3352).
